Cartier introduced a marvellous version of the Rotonde de Cartier Tourbillon for 2013.
We can see the evolution of the watch series based on the 9458 MC movement that was introduced in the Rotonde de Cartier Crocodile Tourbillon watch for 2011.
Next, the Rotonde de Cartier Cadran Lové Tourbillon watch was developed with the same movement for 2012.
The jeweller's art is raised to the Nth degree with this microsculpture of three adult panthers and two cubs in their own lush jungle foliage depicted in white gold and onyx on the dial. The fauna and flora are remarkably life-like on this savannah scene.
Perhaps due to the mesmerising flying tourbillon whirling like a gentle dervish, the mind's eye is fooled into "seeing" the leaves sway or the panthers prowling around it?
The eagle-eyed will spot the Geneva Seal that is appended to all 9458MC movements.

I think this variant of the 9458MC movement is the most spectacular yet. Every time you look at it, something new catches your eye....a branch....a leaf....a muscular haunch.
Whilst the Crocodile watch was feminine and the Cadran Love watch was architecturally masculine, this Microsculpture scène Panthères watch revels in an oblivious plane of gender neutrality.
What do you think?
Regards.
