What: Magical purple menagerie as Cartier presented creativity and craftsmanship of Cartier Naturellement collection

Flora and Fauna permeated the jeweller's world amidst a surreal landscape and poetic interpretations of nature in full bloom.
We walked into a fantasy world teeming with orchids, birds, dragons, crocodiles, parrots, penguins, tigers, and not forgetting the House heroine, the panther.
Mr Gregoire Blanche, Cartier’s newly appointed Regional Managing Director of South East Asia and Australia, and guest star of the evening, the elegant Hong Kong singer/actress, Ms Gigi Leung, walked the red carpet together.
Gigi Leung wore Collection Caresse d’Orchidee, which was rather a tribute to the national flower of Singapore - the orchid - just a week before Singapore celebrates its 48th National Day on 9th August 2013.

The Cartier Naturellement Exhibition in the Cartier boutique, ION Orchard, Singapore is open for public viewing from 3rd to 14th August.
On display are jewellery creations from the Cartier Naturellement collections which spans the Panthère de Cartier collections, Caresse d’Orchidee collections, parrot and lovebird creations and other flora and fauna pieces.
A special showcase also displays unique “Tradition” vintage pieces that were re-acquired and restored by the Cartier Traditions department.

Highlights of the exhibition include several stunning high jewellery creations such as:
Ruby-beaded necklace totalling 968.07-carats with a diamond set dragon head
Twin crocodiles Tutti-Frutti secret watch with a carved 18-carat green emerald that was inspired by the illustrious crocodile necklace made for Maria Felix in the 1970s
Pearl necklace with a 414-carat carved rubelite flower that could be worn as a brooch
Varied interpretations of the panther including an expressive panther bracelet with flexible paws.

Visitors will also have a chance to preview the new Panthère de Cartier expression before the worldwide launch of the collection in October. The new Panther is a dreamy and languorous panther with a noble and proud posture, emblematic to the Cartier’s égérie.
For the first time, Lapis Lazuli, is used in the Panthère de Cartier collection on the pink gold version of the new collection.

Historic Cartier
Cartier has celebrated Nature since its origins: with lily flowers, morning glory and other budding plants adorning the craftsmen’s workbenches. later, in the early 20th century, the panther theme made its first appearance. Birds also have their place at Cartier: colourful aviaries of small and large winged creatures provide a source of joyous enchantment, while improvised birdsong pours out from a menagerie opening onto an endless sky.
