Exclusive live photos of the Calibre de Cartier Astrotourbillon in titanium

As first unveiled on here a few days ago, here are live pictures of the Calibre de Cartier Astrotourbillon in titanium which will be launched formally at SIHH 2011 in January. It is 45 mm wide in titanium with the 9451 MC movement and limited to 100 pieces. click here for the press release and full specs of the Astro Tourbillon.

The watch is impressively large in the metal. It is a distinctive and new look for Cartier but more attractive than the Rotonde de Cartier Astrotourbillon in my opinion. The hefty Calibre de Cartier case contrasts with the large open space and depth of the dial. It will speak to those who previously found Cartier watches too formal; the design and material are a perfect match.

Here are some more quick photos, more to come when I have more time to process them; have to run for dinner now and then a flight tomorrow.

YES i WAS one of the people who believed that Cartier's watches are formal... but with the launching of the calibre and other watches this year im more open to cratier . however i DO believe that 2010 been a radical year , we've seen brands changing track...

2011 will see a lot more Cartier watches that go in a different direction
