Cartier: Hi Robin

Hi Robin, Thank you for the kind words about my CPCP Tank XL. I'm a big fan of Tanks. It is such beautiful design, that never looks dated. They look as good now as they did almost 100 years ago. Wishing you many years of enjoyment with your Tank XL. Best regards, Dino

Cartier: One of my favorite models from Cartier...

Hi Robin, thanks for sharing some beautiful photos or your LC Tank XL. I love, non-round dress watches. Several of my daily wear pieces are steel and round so it feels a bit special to put on something that is both different in shape and color. For me the Cartier Tank is the quintessential rectangul

Piaget: Interesting trade...

Both are such wonderful watches, for me it would be a tough choice. I like both a lot, but a person has to follow his/her heart and choose the pieces that really make one smile. Congrats on your Tiger's Eye Piaget its a beauty! Best regards, Dino

Piaget: Nice choices

Even as a fan of Cartier and recognizing that the Calibre and its variations are a great product, for me the decision would be quite easy. My vote would be for the Piaget. To me the Piaget is truly unique looking, and is a nice change in a world largely dominated by the "Bigger is better" idea. I'm

Piaget: Wow, what an amazing ultra thin...

That is definitely one of the most exciting ultra thins I've ever seen. Just stunning! Is the one in the image white gold or platinum (if you know)? Also will their be a rose gold variation? If these are thinks that can't be answered until SIHH, I understand. Wow, thanks for the preview. Best regard

Cartier: Term retirement is relative...

Yes, Cartier has a way of bringing back various models, so perhaps its retirement will be more like that of Michael Jordan ; ) I found the term "Retirement" entertaining, when I first heard it. Some years ago a sales associate at the Chicago boutique noticed I was wearing a 38 mm Pasha 950 Chronogra

Cartier: Pasha 42 movement

The time only Pasha 42 used a JLC movement. It did not use an ETA movement. Yes, the time only Pasha 42 has been discontinued for a few years , or as they say at Cartier boutiques, it's been "Retired." So pre-owned is currently the only option if you want to buy one.

Patek Philippe: As someone who owns an AP...

I would say yes, make the trade. I love the RO, but the Offshores just don't do anything for me. I find the limited edition that comes out each time a watch maker there sneezes, quite tiresome. I know people love huge watches, but I find the Offshore sort of a bloated distortion of a beautiful desig
