WatchTech: not really

I must admit I would have suspected corrosion due to the red colour. Why were pivots unaffected? As far as concentration of the epilame I guess it shows the importance of replenishing the epilame quite often in the bottle. Good info!

WatchTech: wrong im afraid

It has absolutely no effect at all over time. If it did it would show within a matter of minutes considering the to and froing at 8 beats per second. Not sure what girl youre refering to either? When i was an intern at Omega, the entire movement was epilamed in the 4 bath greiner cleaning machine...

WatchTech: epilame

I epilame the whole wheel and pallet, using an epilame bottle with basket. I dont use any heat, I used to but since epilame evaporates almost instantly it seemed unnecessary to me, and it works just as well. I dont epilame reverser wheels, I use Lubeta V105 then dry them off. This leaves alot of res

Girard Perregaux: thanks

Girard Perregaux: Came across a little GP gem...

and just had to have it! It's in mint condition, looks like it was never used, and complete too! Must be from the 50s or 60s ? Will look good in a display cabinet, just need to get a GP watch to go with it, going to look for something vintage!

Cartier: 30m is not safe for swimmingpool

If I told customers that I would get alot of returned watches and angry customers Its so easy to make a screwdowncrown, don't see why this is omitted in an otherwise fine watch.

Cartier: I was impressed, until...

I saw "30m water resistance" ? Sorry but this is not a sports watch, its hardly even useful for daily wear.... A screwdown crown and at least 100m is a must for me if one is to call it a sports watch... Epic fail by Cartier here on what is otherwise an extremely nice watch in this pricerange... lets

Patek Philippe: Not my cup of tea

The original Nautilus is a great design, and imho does not work as an annual cal. Too narrow between the "eyes" is the feeling I get, and the moonphase completely malplace on this dial. Love the other new models but this one is unattractive imo.

Audemars Piguet: case by case basis for me

theres no right or wrong for me, if the base movement has a powerful enough mainspring to drive a chronograph module, and the module is well designed and does not add to much height, then whats wrong with integrated? nothing in this case... crown/pusher alignment can be hidden by means of how the ca
