Time to write

When I have a lot of writing to do I take off my watch and use it as a desk clock. I seem to forget there's a time readout on the monitor. Having the bracelet on it makes it sit just right.
Does anyone else have such a habit? I've heard many people use their cell phone for time, but I really don't find that convenient. I'm actually trying to stay off the device as much as possible.

In general, I don't take off my watch. But I have to be very careful when writing or typing on a glass desk because of the potential scratches the watch can acquire when coming in contact with glass.

My watch is the first thing that I strap on when I wake up and the last thing off before bedtime. The only time in the day when I take it off is for the shower. Aside from that, it is always on my wrist.
