You aren't alone

I keep the nice bags, but I save most of the watch catalogs I get.  The watch industry seems to be one of the few that has continued to print beautiful promotional material.  I like that many of the manufacturers have embraced technology and have great iPad apps but that they still complement them with beautiful printed books.

I'm very wealthy in bags from watch companies. Oh, and I'm not throwing these bags out anymore. In San Francisco, we have a shopping bag tax. Every time you go to the store and buy something, you have to pay sales tax on the item, and a shopping bag tax p...

In most Central Europe, you have to py for the bags in the shop since ...

Good to know!

I never noticed that during my travels! In California, I think it is making a small difference. The majority of people are bringing their own bags to the market now (in my local area) in an effort to conserve and reduce waste.

Perhaps I should take them grocery shopping ...

I used to keep these things ...

... including the catalogues. However, after getting rid of a ton or so of unused material during my last moving, I made it a custom to throw away the bags, catalogues, CD-ROMs and so on, after I used them. Otherwise my new house would be stuffed already....

But now I just bin most of them. It used to be a thing of how many things you were given at SIHH or Baselworld but now it is a challenge to leave with very little. I only keep books and odd things from watches I have or are shopping for... artly as my off...

Are you opening a Watch shop? :) Best, Nicolas

Yes, and I'd give you a bunch if Australia was closer!
