Great idea.

May 03, 2024,05:20 AM

My preference would be for a watch I can wear at many occasions, if it was a watch in the thin Alpine Eagle case form like the XPS and special dial it would be perfect. 2nd choice would be a normal AE in Ti like the cadence with a normal movement but a special  dial , that would keep it within the budget.

The GMT and Time traveler are both 42mm and 50m, limiting its wearability, for me at least.

As for the given options for the Time traveler :

1/ The dial: what about Airport codes instead of cities name?  - great idea. we can even (depends on cost of a single dial) make individual colored city for each of the group member buying.

24 hours ring? Blue and red? - the blue like in the Platinum version is so nice and discrete.

2/ The case: the original dimensions are 42 x 12 mm. Can we get a tad smaller one? 40 mm - 40 for sure
3/ Case back: Personalized rotor, with the mention 25th WPS Edition. 1 of 25?  no need for Personalized rotor IMO. for the LE, just make the dial side great again.

Enamel dial - great , especially if we go AE case....smile

Chopard L.U.C Time Traveler One Steel. A possible WatchProSite Edition?

 By: amanico : May 2nd, 2024-07:26
Ok, I have to contact Chopard to see if it is possible to work from this watch to get a WPS 25th Edition. Let's keep it in steel, for the budget. Then, let's think of the modifications we could work on to make it " ours ". 1/ The dial: what about Airport ...

What a great post — I like the idea of working with Chopard and the world timer theme — although, I do agree this dial is a bit busy or full.

Smaller case — perfect Airport codes — love it I am fine with the orange-yellow accents — but, red is a good option I would say no to the tantalum and enamel dial options for budget considerations. Thanks for sharing some early creative ideas!
